DR LANZER’S VIEW ON
One of the most interesting developments in cosmetic medicine has been the number of different options that a cosmetic surgeon has at his finger tips. In the race to find the best Skin Tightening and Skin Rejuvenation treatments and the most effective non surgical fat blaster, the way to improve cellulite and other conditions, surgeons like myself, have invested heavily in new technology.
Many of the Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening devices have been used by me are, an “Australian first” and I have tried to study their effectiveness and safety.
For example I was the first to use and study in Australia the following:
- Airgent (for ageing of the neck, face and hands)- Filler by air pressure (no needles) for skin tightening and rejuvenation
- Isolaz Laser (for face and body) – laser and extraction for acne and prominent pores for skin rejuvenation
- Ultrashape - for non surgical treatment of fat
- Venus Freeze – a radio frequency machine for fat and cellulite.
- Permanent Filler- it’s now 10 years since we first used the permanent filler for skin rejuvenation
Many of these developments in Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening were followed on National television and I always enjoyed highlighting what’s new and how it works.
Some of the other new and interesting devices in Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening are:
- Ultherapy: a deep ultrasound treatment that may produce a non surgical face lift for Skin Tighetning
- New cheek volume fillers: to reproduce the youthful cheek
- Photo-rejuvenation lasers: such as the Revlite to help tighten the Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening
My Nurses, Beauty Therapists, Dr Goldberg and myself are very dedicated to give you the latest and most effective therapies to help your skin and body.
As a specialist Dermatologist I have two areas that I take a special interest in:
Acne is a common problem and thankfully we have good therapy for all types of acne. I like the glycolic peels if the skin has comedones (surface plugs) and we combine antibiotics, creams and lasers. Isolaz controls acne at the source by providing a unique combination of vacuum and a painless laser that helps clear existing acne while helping prevent future breakouts.
Secondly we were the first to describe the concept of mole mapping in the world and we closely monitor moles and treat skin cancers.
We are able to treat most leg veins without surgery. The simple injection of saline and other solutions works very effectively.
Also I have a Laser specialist that consults and operates in one of our centres who specializes in deep laser removal of veins.
The new IPL laser and Revlite laser can remove hair, brown spots and rejuvenate the skin. The aura laser also removes blood vessels and red or brown lesions.
Please try out our Medi Day Spa Centres: we offer the latest in Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Tightening treatments in Beauty and Cosmetic care and all of my staff have been personally trained by myself. Our Therapists are experts in Facials, medical micro-dermabrasion and massage.
My approach to skin rejuvenation is outlined in the “6 Keys” to facial rejuvenation” program.
Skin rejuvenation starts with a better texture and many of those treatments are performed in our Medi Day Spa. The next step in Skin Rejuvenation is skin tightening. The aim is to reduce wrinkles and fine lines and to tighten loose skin. Skin rejuvenation and skin tightening can also occur with fat transfer. The fat plumps up the skin. An important component of Skin Rejuvenation is the muscle relaxants especially around the eyes. Skin Rejuvenation is finally treated with lifting procedures. Dr Lanzer emphasizes that patients should always consider makeup when performing Skin Rejuvenation and Skin Treatments as it protects the skin from the sun and enhance the results.
We offer a FREE, No Obligation Cosmetic Surgery Consultation and a detailed explanation of the procedure.
Dr Lanzer can email all patients a detailed consent form which provides information related to the surgery. This information is made available to all patients before surgery, allowing enough time for the patient to ask any questions they may have.
