GLYCOLIC ACID PEELS
Glycolic Acid is one of the alpha hydroxy acids (AHA or fruit acids). It can be used in higher concentrations as a superficial peel which rapidly removes the dead outer layer of the skin, along with oil, dirt and makeup left on the skin, to unblock and reveal a softer, smoother and clearer skin underneath. This is an effective treatment for acne, ageing and pigmentation (when used in conjunction with hydroquinone and glycolic acid homecare regime).
Patients usually have 6-8 treatments performed at weekly intervals. There is no downtime, though occasionally slight transient redness may occur. The treatment takes 2 minutes.
