Dermaxel Fractional Laser

The Dermaxel Laser

Combines a CO2 laser with a unique fractional skin resurfacing technology to produce advanced fractional ablative and anti-ageing results.

The laser targets water within the surface layers of the skin causing both the water and the surrounding tissue to vaporize but what is different to the usual ablative treatments is that the laser is delivered fractionally, that is some tissue is ablated and surrounding tissue is left intact. This allows healing to occur much more quickly than had the whole skin area been resurfaced. The laser makes thousands of tiny regenerated columns into the skin. Since only some areas are touched with the laser the main effect of the laser is under the skin deep in the collagen layer rather than on the surface where its effects would cause more downtime.

The advantage of a fraxionated wave is that very fine laser beams pass into the skin between non treated areas. As a result the skin heals quickly and there is a lot less risk of pigmentation and scaring.
Dr Lanzer has been trying the new Dual Dermaxel Fractional Laser that has extra wavelengths for pigmentation and brown spots. Most patients where red for three days followed by a slight peel. Currently Dr Lanzer uses the Dermaxel Fractional Laser and erbium computerized lasers for non invasive photorejuvination. These may be alternated with portraite and revlite lasers. Dr Lanzer specializes in face makeover laser therapy for aging. The laser rejuvenates the eyelids, smoothes the skin and gives a refreshed appearance.
