I hope that you enjoy and find benefit in reading my
Seventh Edition about the cosmetic procedures that
we can offer.
The revolution that started some 20 years ago in this area
of cosmetic medicine continues strong. There are new and
exciting machinery and better procedures being developed all
the time.
The latest device is the Ultrashape – fat remodeling ultrasound
machine. I have been kindly chosen by the company in Europe to
be the “key investigator” of this machine and I am conducting trials
to improve its effectiveness.
The interest of the media continues.
Recently I was featured with four
sisters who became known as “the liposuction sisters” on ‘Today
Tonight’, Channel Seven and the “New Woman” magazine
(see pg 37). They all had varying sizes of the same genetic
problem and they improved so dramatically with liposculpture. I
was recently filmed about older women having surgery and find
that women and men of all adult ages can benefit from the new
safer procedures.
The demand still remains to have a procedure that makes one
look younger, healthier, fresher and slimmer, rather than to look
different. Many of the newer approaches, particularly with lasers,
have also improved with quicker recovery time and resumption of
normal duties.
As time marches on, the experience improves and having
performed over 10,000 liposuction procedures, I find that I can
predict what is best for each patient. I still have a particular interest
in helping the overweight patients with megaliposuction or slim
patients with bulges by liposculpture.
“A Current Affair” featured myself with two identical twins
this year. It was a most interesting segment as the two had similar
genetic issues cured with the liposuction procedure. One of my
biggest priviledges was to be asked to write the chapter on
avoiding complications for a world textbook on liposuction by
my profession.
Patients often mention that they dislike comments from people
noticing their tired look. Often this can be due to the fat bags on
the lower lids that produce a shadow ring or the droopy eyelid
skin or perhaps the skin texture. “Today Tonight” also featured
a patient of mine with the latest “full face makeover” procedure.
Most patients have one of the procedures but this lady had the lot.
After laser blepharoplasty, erbium resurfacing, neck liposuction,
face skin suture lift, botox for wrinkles and Aquamid filler this
gained a wonderful result. What is most appealing is the natural
look.
I have found that liposculpture of the neck is particularly satisfying
as it is a quick procedure, with significant and long lasting results
improving the shape and definition of the lower face.
This year I celebrate Dr Braham Goldberg’s tenth year of full
time working with myself and his expertise and precision is much
appreciated.
Most people know me as a family man and I am involved extensively
in charity work. I have hand selected my staff and assistants who
are all equally kind and caring.
My staff and I will be happy to answer any of your questions. Many
people perform cosmetic surgery but being a specialist in the area
that developed many of the new methods is a large advantage.
Wishing you well.
