Breast Enlargement – Breast Augmentation

Dr Lanzer was the first in Australia to use the NEW Adivive device, which is a Fat Transfer System to help with face rejuvenation and breast augmentation.
The Fat is prepared so that it is concentrated and purified and thereby rich in Adipose Derived Stromal / Stem Cells. (ADSC)
Ones own fat is harvested through liposuction and injected into the Breast for a breast augmentation enlargement. Fat can also be used in the Face for rejuvenation or other areas of the body.
Dr Lanzer’s clinic is the first in Australia to use the new Adivive machine that has just received TGA approval.
The Adivive machine produces condensed high quality fat from liposuction that can then be injected into areas of your body including:
Fat Transfer: Breast implants - to obtain a breast augmentation, this process is for a natural enhancement to the breast size and shape,
The fat is harvested through liposuction from areas such as the stomach, love handles, thighs or wherever excess fat is located. The harvested fat is then condensed, filtered, and injected into the breasts to create a breast augmentation. Fat transfer is an aesthetic procedure that takes fat from one area of your body and relocates it to another area of your body to restore lost or uneven volume and contours. The fat is used as an injectable tissue to treat areas such as the face, breast, buttocks and the hands.
The Adivive device is a different alternative to breast augmentation via a silicon breast augmentation. This new machine can bring volume to your breasts but will not give the same look as breast augmentation. With surgical silicon – breast augmentation one can increase their breast sizes many times over. Breast augmentation with one’s own fat will not be as dramatic. Nevertheless breast augmentation with fat is increasing in popularity as patients prefer to have their own tissue in their body.
There are two major risks with breast augmentation with one’s own fat. Firstly the fat transfer may fail and there is no result of the breast augmentation. The best method is therefore one that allows fat storage for repeat injections. The second risk with fat breast augmentation is that the fat cells increase and leave marks that could make mammograms more difficult to interpret later.
Face Rejuvenation with a Fat Transfer
Fat Transfer to the Face – for facial rejuvenation to restore volume and plump areas such as hollow cheeks and other parts of the body such as the hands.
The Adivive fat transfer system is a new method in obtaining and purifying fat for re-injection. This process has now allowed Dr Lanzer to use fat injections for full face rejuvenation. The concentrated fat that contains stromal and Stem cells is injected into the face to improve the skin texture and shaping.
With age the cheeks can become more depressed and this can be improved with fillers such as fat. Also fat can be used on wrinkled cheeks, around the yes and on the lips. The fat can be stored for future injections which may be done under local anesthetic.
What are the advantages of fat injections?
The main advantage is that it’s ones own fat cells being injected.
How long can the results last for?
Fat may last longterm or for a few months. Unfortunately fat can also disappear immediately leaving no perceivable result. Repeat injections is always a good approach when considering fat therapy of the face and other areas.
Rejuvenation of the Hands
With age the skin on the back of the hands become thin and pigmented. The fat layer seems to disappear. Fillers such as ones own fat or Airgent can give back some of the missing volume. The pigmentation can also be treated with creams and lasers therapy.
Dr Lanzer says the device has three major advantages:
Fat rich in stem/stromal cells: The Adivive centrifuges fat under compact pressure with in-built filtering. Oils and unwanted tissue are separated leaving a more purified fat that is rich in ADSC (Adipose derived Stroma/Stem cells). Dr Lanzer says the treated fat with its high concentration of cells may enhance the longevity of the fat transfer.
Enclosed System: The entire process fat extraction, separation and filtration and injection – is in a totally enclosed system which minimises the chance of contamination and adds an extra safety factor which is vital for breast fat transfer.
Pressured delivery: The Adivive device allows for an air pressured even injection and filling of fat into the breast which helps produce a natural and even result. The fat is injected via a small tube and there are no stitches.
Dr Lanzer warns that as with all grafts there is a difference between patients as to the longevity of the fat transferred. The fat may last forever as a permanent result or totally dissipate with no result. Some patients may find a slow reduction and benefit from repeat enhancements.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Fat transfer procedures with the Adivive system can take as little as an hour for smaller areas in the face and hands, but treatment time depends on the size of the area treated.
Most common side effects are swelling and/or bruising which may take up to a few weeks to resolve. Consult with your physician about procedural instructions, expectations, and other potential side effects.
You may achieve dramatic results after just one treatment but the number of treatments needed is determined by, among other things, the desired outcome and the size of the treatment area.
The length of time that your fat injection will last varies, and for some people it may be generally very long-lasting. Unfortunately fat may not take in its new location and the fat may totally disappear immediately or over many months. Repeat injections may be an option.
